Yorkshire Building Services Ltd’s ongoing investment by the Board and from all its employees reaps rewards. We are pleased to announce that we achieved re-certification of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OSHAS 18001:2007 at the beginning of the year during our three year recertification audit. We have also continued our membership of multiple SSIP accreditations such as SafeContractor, CHAS and ConstructionLine. This proves our ongoing commitment to HSEQ and we are able to achieve this with the cooperation of the company employees, our supply chain and the continuing support from the Board members who lead by example.
The HSEQ Department continue to work closely with the project teams and other employees to maintain a robust management system and on-going training programme for its employees.
The results of the hard work paid back in 2018. Our recent annual audit from our Insurer has revealed that they were able to offer a reduced annual premium due to our continued improvement business model and the dedication from our teams.
While Health and Safety is often considered an expense, this shows that it is an investment – our employees are safe and we save money in the long run. Well done to everyone.
